"Climbing Kilimanjaro has been the most awesome thing I've ever done.  I feel proud and honored to have had this experience.  I think the biggest impact of this trip was watching the African people work so hard to stay alive.  I have learned to appreciate my family and friends and all that I have around me to keep me safe and healthy.  I'd like to thank all my supporters for everything.  You helped us get up that mountain."

Ryan Cameron, July 2004

The Climb for Community Living is a public awareness and fundraising initiative designed to support personal growth and achievement, and promote inclusion from the top of the world. We work to ensure that children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities can take their rightful place in schools, workplaces, recreation, and community activities. We believe this to be a journey that will change lives.

YOUR DONATIONS HELP US

Funds raised allow the BC Association for Community Living provincial office to continue working for justice, rights and opportunities. They help BCACL member associations to provide a variety of services and programs for individuals and families such as:

• Adult residential services

• Children’s services

• Family support

• Youth programs and transition services

• Supported employment programs

• Community awareness and partnerships

• Self Advocacy support

All funds raised remain in British Columbia and will help ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities can participate as full citizens in our communities and have equal and fair access to services and programs.
