Registration is done on a first-come-first-served basis, so please don't forget to mark this date on your calendar!  We will try our best to ensure everyone gets some services from our program.  You will be notified about which classes you are in by 4:00 pm Wednesday May 21, 2008.

Summer Daze 2008

If you are between the ages of 13—19 and are interested in great outings and activities with your peers, then SummerDAZE is a cool way for you to spend your summer! Among some of the exciting outings are trips to the beach, Cultus Lake, Splashdown, the Greater Vancouver Zoo, the Aquarium, Science World… plus there are many interactive activities such as sports and arts & crafts!

SummerDAZE is a summer full of day camps for programs for teens 13—19 with developmental disabilities. Register by the week for a maximum of 6 weeks (camps run 9:30—3:30 daily). *Staff ratio of 3:1. Please contact us prior to registration if you feel your teen requires more support. All day camps are eligible for EAI funding for youth with autism. Please contact us for details!

awesome adapted classes

Awesome Adapted Camps are fun and exciting day camps for participants with developmental disabilities.  Camps run 9:00 - 3:00 pm daily and the meeting location is at SHS 15306 24th Avenue, Surrey.

Week 1 - Sportstars!

Ages 13 - 25

June 30, July 2 - July 4 (4 days, $100 plus tax)

Spend your week playing interactive sports such as Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Hiking, Hockey, Dodge Ball, and California kick ball at various parks and beaches throughout the lower mainland.

 

Week 2 - Pottery Camp

Ages 13 - 25

July 7 - 11 (5 days, $125 plus tax)

Spend your week learning the art of pottery.  You will get to make and keep pet monsters, clay piggy banks, jewelry boxes, bird houses, coiled pots, dragons, Disney characters and a Harry Potter portrait holder.

 

Week 3 Kidz Club

Ages 9 - 12

July 14 - 19 (5 days, $125 plus tax)

Hey Kidz, this camp if just like SummerDAZE where you get to spend a week going on awesome outings with your peers and playing sports or doing arts and crafts!

 

Week 4 Scrapbooking Camp

Ages 13 - 25

July 21 - 25

(5 days, $125 + tax)

Bring pictures of yourself, family, pets, vacations, sports or whatever you would like to present in your very own captivating memory scrapbook. 

 

Week 5 Local Leisure Daze

Ages 13 - 25

July 28 - August 1 (5 days, $125 plus tax)

This is a great week of learning how to access and use transit while venturing out to great destinations...Playland, Londsdale Quay, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Steveston, and Science World.

 

Week 6 Kids Club

Ages 9 -12

August 5 - 8 (4 days, $100 plus tax)

Hey Kidz, this camp if just like SummerDAZE where you get to spend a week going on awesome outings with your peers and playing sports or doing arts and crafts!

 

Week 8 Sportstars!

Ages 13 - 25

August 18 - 22 (5 days, $125 plus tax)

3rd Annual Stave Lake Campout!

This is seriously the best camp EVER!!! How could it not be when you spend 4 nights, 5 days in a beautiful lodge on Stave Lake with several of your best friends? Among some of the activities that will keep you smiling are swimming, fishing, singing, campfires, arts & crafts, hiking, badminton and soccer. Last year we had daily DANCE PARTIES and showed off our talents at a very entertaining talent  show. This is an unforgettable trip where you get to have a ton of fun, rest, relax and make tons of memories!!!

Week #7  August 11 - August 15

Ages 16 - 25 (ratio of 4:1)

Cost $275 plus tax (cost includes your transportation and all the delicious meals and snacks)
