Trips

Rec & Leisure organizes special trips for groups (generally age 16 and up) to a variety of exciting locations including Camp Elphinstone, Disneyland, and Whistler. Trips vary in cost, duration, and staffing ratios.

Camp Elphinstone

Monday, June 21 – Friday, June 26

Here we go again!  This place is awesome!  The YMCA Camp Elphinstone Outdoor Education Centre is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.  This is an unforgettable 5-day, 4-night trip with your peers.  Why unforgettable you may ask?  This is an experiential camp where you will have a chance to try and learn numerous outdoor activities such as archery, canoeing, discovery hikes, forest studies, outdoor living skills (fire and shelters), high and low ropes, and orienteering.  We are going to have 2 Camp Specialists who will set up our daily programs filled with these great activities and games.  All of our meals and snacks will be provided.  If you would like to see what this camp is all about please visit www.vaymca.org and go to Camp Elphinstone where you can read all about what is offered at this truly amazing camp. 

Cost: $595 + tax (includes transportation, lodging, activities, support staff, ferries and all meals and snacks)
Ages: 13 and up

Cultus Lake – A SPLASHIN’ GREAT TIME!

Monday, August 16 – Thursday, August 19

What a cool trip this is gonna be!  We’re booked for 4-days, 3-nights at the Cabins at Cultus Lake Park.  We will be located right across the street from Cultus Lake and Giggle Ridge mini-golf.  Plus, we’re going to be spending a day at the waterslides which are right next to us!  This is gonna be a splashin’ great time!  Here’s your chance to come chill out, swim, suntan, hike, golf, waterslide and participate in many more exciting activities for 4 full days …. and the BONUS is that all of this is with your friends!

Cost: $445 + tax (includes transportation, accommodations, waterslides, support staff and food)
Ages:  13 and up
